Best little diner in the area. The food, the staff, the patrons, everything is just right in this tiny roadside diner. Wish they were open for dinner too.

Love this greasy little spoon! I've only ever had breakfast here. It's tiny and always seems to be busy. Good people watching.

before we moved to ferndale james had an apt in wixom. there is absolutely nothing in wixom except apt buildings. we went to woody's often. it's a little building on pontiac trail. homesy and warm inside. great omlettes and coffee. i could never finish one of their omlettes. breakfast there was worth it and i think all of walled lake knew it because it was always full of people. the waitresses were that variety of slightly older than middle aged, calling you honey kind of ladies. i love those waitresses. always nice, always moving. love, juston

This place is small, easy to just pass by with out giving it a second thought but that would be a mistake! This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. It's just the usually, typical breakfast food you would find at a diner but it taste so good, the service is fast, and the prices are great! Whenever my family orders food we tend to order a lot, and I'm always surprised at how fast they bring it out, but it doesn't taste like it's just been sitting under some hot lite or anything. I often like to order hot chocolate from places and often find it is watery and disappointing but their hot chocolate is delicious! Basically is you really like good breakfast food go their. You won't be disappointed.

This is a tiny greasy spoon. The door is always opening and closing and a nice whoosh of cold air blows in to really wake you up. The tiny tables are pretty much back to back and the waitresses take care of all tables, not just their own. The food is standard breakfast. I think the corned beef hash the hubby ordered was from a can. The prices for the breakfast seems cheap but they get you on sides and coffee. And the amount of food is not very generous. My husband ate all of his toast in order to get full and he never eats the toast at other places. Our side of bacon cost almost as much as my full breakfast (scrambled eggs and hashrowns with wheat toast). The price of the total bill did not fit the "divey" atmosphere. We can get just as good food, more of it, and cheaper at other places. Probably won't be back.

I happened to be out and about in Walled Lake early the other morning and had some time to kill prior to an appointment. I passed what looked like three different breakfast type family diners and all were closed. It was 6:30 am so I really could not be too surprised. I was passing by Woody's café and saw the open sign. Pulled right in and was pleased I could go in and have some breakfast. It was one open room with kitchen behind. One other table was occupied and one carry out customer waiting. I ordered the eggs with bacon, home fried potatoes, rye toast and just water to drink. The eggs were good - silky smooth and what was expected. The potatoes were the lumpy kind of hash browns(not my favorite) that are more like half burnt mashed potatoes. Rye toast was good. Bacon really undercooked. I was not even considering asking to crisp it up a bit - just happy they were open at that hour, however really did not get the chance. The waitress never came around until I was just about finished. I would have asked for an additional napkin and extra butter for my toast but it was too late for that when she finally took an interest(Did I tell ya, there was only one other table occupied). I used the rest room and it was not real presentable. I would not say a bad place but really could not go higher than 3 stars on this one. Thanks for being open early.

Exactly the sort if breakfast you would expect from a small town diner. .. no complaints here. Pretty good coffee, the corned beef hash was tasty. .. left full and for two people and coffee was less than 15.

This review is way old from back in June (ya, I know) but I was bored so I decided to catch up on my yelping. I absolutely L-O-V-E breakfast at any time of day, and my bf and I made plans to grab something out for once. I had just heard about Woody's (from Yelp) and I told him that's where we should go. He of course was astonished that I would take credit for HIS idea lol because he had known about it since he was a kid since he grew up in the area. We walked in during off peak and it was quiet, but the waitress was attentive and nice, and kept our coffees filled and was free with the extra butter, of which I always have to ask for extra. The pancakes were great and the rest of the food was above average diner breakfast. There were some off duty policemen there, which I have no idea why but I love eating in the diner when there are police or firefighters there, it makes me feel like I am in a Norman Rockwell kind of hometown neighborhood. Plus, in my experience if it's not good, fast and cheap, usually the cops can find somewhere else to go, so I take notice. Price was great, we were both stuffed. I'm a petite female, but my bf is 6-2 and eats like he has a wooden leg and he was happy too. Our meal was 14 bucks I think and we gave her a 20. Well worth it.

Teeny tiny unassuming diner with an unbeatable breakfast. The coffee was hot and delicious, and I'm not sure when I've had better eggs. Friendly and prompt service. We will definitely be regular patrons!

Best. Fruit Salad. Ever! Forget about your typical melon balls with a limp strawberry slice. This fruit cup is melon-less (yea!) with huge blackberries, juicy blueberries, tart raspberries, and succulent strawberries. Literally worth a trip all by itself. The wait staff is friendly and competent, breakfast is hearty and inexpensive. Go here!
